Micro-Cares(tm) Products
New Product News:
1. The network version of Micro-Cares(tm) allows multiple users at one institution to work on the system at the same time. It
utilizes
standard Palm OS-based systems with 16 MB of RAM. Early testing with
"Hot-Sync" data uplink to Micro-Cares Version 6.1B has been extremely
well received at conferences in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, and Cancun,
Mexico. Version 7.7 has built-in Palm OS 3.x-5.x handheld support.
PocketPC support is planned for May 2005.
2. The Literature Search Program has been updated in Psychiatry for 2005;
the entire abstract listing and annotations where appropriate have been added,
as described in the General Hospital Psychiatry Review (December 2004).
3. MDTrak is now in use at multiple institutions in the United States for
medical student tracking using Palm OS handhelds, Pocket PC computers, or
even a combination of both!

System Version 7.7 Psychiatric department/division
patient care tracking for attendings, fellows, and residents or for
individual psychiatry practices, it is a self-contained Database system for
providing patient care in the hospital, consultation, or clinic
setting. It supports customizable patient care records with a
"Survey Wizard".

System Version 4.5 Flexible literature search system for customizing your
literature library. The full version comes with the 2005
Psychiatry Literature update with over 60 categories of information and over
3800 articles, most with abstracts, and many with commentaries from the
Psychiatry experts.
Designed as a desk reference, it now comes in a Pocket
Literature Search version for Palm OS handhelds.

Medical Student tracking system using Palm OS or Pocket PC handheld
computers for patient care tracking. MDTrak provides rapid access to
statistics and printouts of experience with disease and disorders, history
and physical findings, procedures, and information about the depth of
involvement in patient care. Customized search and display paradigms
allow instructors to examine the individual students case exposure and help
for quick identifications of trends in the teaching experience, even across
multi-institution training programs.
